Our Story
A Legacy of Kashmiri Craftsmanship
Kashmiri Pashmina was founded in 1985 with a singular vision: to bring the extraordinary artistry of Kashmir to the world while sustaining the livelihoods of master artisans. For over four decades, we have been the bridge between ancient craft traditions and modern connoisseurs.
From the intricate walnut wood carvings of old Srinagar to the impossibly soft pashmina woven in the highlands of Ladakh, every piece in our collection represents months of meticulous handwork. We work directly with over 200 artisan families, ensuring fair compensation and preserving techniques passed down through generations.
Kashmir's handicraft tradition is one of the world's great cultural treasures. The region's artisans have perfected their crafts over centuries, developing techniques in wood carving, paper mache, textile weaving, and carpet knotting that are unmatched in precision and beauty.

Our Artisans
The Heart of Our Craft
Behind every piece is a master artisan with decades of training. Many of our craftspeople learned their art from childhood, sitting beside parents and grandparents in family workshops that have operated for generations.
We believe that sustaining this craft means sustaining its people. Every purchase directly supports artisan families in Kashmir, helping preserve a cultural heritage that belongs to all of humanity.
